I was told about USAA by military co-workers, and being with State Farm for 23 years, I was curious to see what USAA had to offer....I called USAA and had the same exact policy quoted to me at $342. WOW! I thought, but when my policy arrived, it said.......
Thank you for choosing USAA for your auto insurance needs. To show our
appreciation for using usaa.com, we applied a one-time discount of $50 to
your policy premium
So the quote I recieved DID NOT include the $50 discount...but my policy I recieved showed that it did....In other words, the next time I renew this policy, it won't include the $50 discount and my premiums or cost will go up at least $50.... Pretty smart way of tricking you to their insurance...I wanted them to explain to me about that and asked them if my premium would go up....The first lady was absolutely useless so she couldn't advise me, so I decided to drop both the Homeowners and Auto Insurance...and again, she couldn't help me with that.....so I had to call back the next day and talked with a manager, who advised me, that the premium would go up because of the so called "Online Discount" would not be applied the next time I renewed the policy....and also, their monthly payment plan was also strange....this plan was lower (cheaper) than State Farm's, but costs almost $15 a month more....am I missing something here?? Beware with USAA...Do your homework and math before purchasing ANY insurance from them. Any questions or answers? Please feel free to contact me at dw334@yahoo.com. Thanks!
