I was shopping around for insurance and Unitrin came out to offer the best price for the coverage I selected (25/50/25). My truck was stolen in front of my house and was later recovered by a police officer. When they recovered the truck, the adjuster came and declared it a complete loss. I have been trying to work with the adjuster I have been assigned to and have received the worst possible service. I have never filed a claim before and I have nothing to compare their service with. But I am hoping that the representative I have been assigned to does not reflect the service you ought to receive from an insurance company. Needless to say, because of the experience I have had thus far, I will be shopping around for a different carrier! They may offer attractive prices for their service, but based on the service I have received thus far, you may want to go with a different carrier.... BUT if you're someone that would like to cut some slack and not have one representative reflect the entire company, you may want to select Unitrin because of their competitive prices. Additionally, the treatment that you receive from Customer Service is up to par with a company that is service oriented. OVERALL.... If you decide to purchase a policy from Unitrin, just hope that you never ever have to file a claim, especially if your car is stolen!
