Spouse was hit by another car - the other driver was at fault. Customer Service was fine and our car was quickly repaired (We paid our deductible up front.) A few weeks later we received a check from the other insurance company that reimbursed us the deductible we paid up front.

Why am I writing this? We received a renewal notice from Traveler's and our rate increased by $250. When I called to question Why - Travelers stated that "an accident happened" and went on to tell me that regardless of who was at fault the fact that an accident occured results in a rate increase.

There is something very, very strange about this company! I can understand the increase if the accident was caused by us. But when someone else hits YOU and it is their fault Traveler's charges you for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Make me wonder what other rates increase when something happens that is not your fault.

Goodbye Traveler's - any other company will do - my suggestion is that you be very, very careful choosing this company.
