Be CAREFUL with this company
Travelers of Mass denied my claim; my homeowners policy allowed $10000 coverage for rot and rot remediation, but Travelers of Mass denied it all on the grounds that they weren\'t notified in time.
They were not notified initially because I had no intention of asking them to pay anything, because ordinary rot is not covered unless there is some water leak, or some specific cause.
Unfortunately the specific cause (a water leak from backup from a well) was not found until the repairs were almost complete.
Even though a Travelers rep came to the site, spoke with the contractor who told him of the rot, and its extent, and even though he spoke with the plumber who repaired the leak, they fell back on their loophole: not timely reported.
They know very well there was a leak, there was rot, and it was remediated, but they will not budge.
I strongly recommend you use a different company; I will, just as soon as I can sign up with a better one.
On the good side, they were unfailingly polite. (as they kept their money).
