We've been with The Hartford for 6 years and have never submitted a claim. On Jan. 25th a driver ran a stop sign, later found out she had no insurance. Absolutely no cooperation from Hartford and especially Phillip the western claims officer assigned to my case. NEVER returned calls/assistance/nothing. Acts as if my fault and I going crazy. The car, our only one, is not fixed. Can't get a rental/only when in shop yet need to drive out of state for classes and tests to keep my job! It is currently duct-taped to keep the hood down and they don't care PLUS we have to pay deductible to have fixed, plus insurance will be raised. What happened to the ad re "first accident forgiveness"? Believe me we are changing (even if more cost to us yearly?) especially to have an agent in our home town to help/appraise vehicle versus this yay hoo who can't even return calls, let alone travel 5 plus hours from Phoenix. Never, never insure with the Hartford.
