Parking lot accident. Our car no damage to the bumper. Other car, dent about the size of a fifty cent piece. First accident and claim with this company. Hartford paid claiment $1450.00 and added a sur charge of $704.00 each year for 3 years to our policy. I consider this punitive. They said it added "2 points" to our policy. Of course I'm moving my auto and home insurance to another company. I told Hartford but they don't care. Apparently they have so much business they can lose a few. This is a real slap in the face of AARP credulity. Hartford also increased our homeowners by $40.00 a year.
