You Just Cant Win
I was the unfortunate victim of a hit and run resulting in quite a bit of damage,of course two weeks after I had gotten a brand new car. I did, however, get the persons license plate number and did all the appropriate actions, eg. call the police, call safeco, make a report. Only to be told I had to pay my deductible because they were to lazy to go after the other persons insurance. I DID NOT give up! I got the police involved (who by the way said my insurasnce sucks) and did finally get a partial return of my deductible back over a year later. All this aggrovation over an accident that was not my fault. I would rather pay more and know that my insurance company was on my side. My advice to anyone having problems with claimns is to not give up. Know your rights and dont be afraid to fight back or save yourself the misery and go to another insurance company!!
