Not too bad until you have a claim
My policy was less money than my previous company by about $400 for 6 months so I went with it. The very first claim I had was about $2900 written by 2 repair shops within a few dollars apart. When Progressive saw the vehicle the guy was un- knowledgeable and came in a few dollars under the shops estimate. Then he sent photos to his boss and his boss arrived at $700. It's called cutting out everything necessary do the job right. The vehicle was 3 months old at the time and I was never going to accept $700 on $2900 estimates. This was all done at the shop right in front of me and the shop manager. Later a different manager from Progressive had to see the vehicle and waste my time again at the shop. After tremendous arguing they arrived at an agreed price. Fact is if the shop does not fight for the money to do the repairs nobody would fix the vehicle for the $700 they wanted to pay. Progressives approved shops are some of the worst in the state and I would not trust them with a golf cart. Most Body Shops in NJ will tell you Progressive has the worst reputation of paying claims.
