Motorcycle Claim
When my husband's motorcycle was knocked over in our parking lot, Progressive told us that we had the option of using our own mechanic. We took it to the best guys in town (Poway Motorcycle). After we got a quote for the repairs, Progressive refused to pay! They sent out an adjuster who knew nothing about motorcycles, and decided that the price was too high. They forced us to go to a shop of their choice, and that shop ended up charging almost twice as much! Of course, this whole thing took weeks to resolve because Progressive dragged their feet, avoided our calls, and at one point accused my husband of knocking over his own motorcycle!! (That bike is baby; he flips out over the tiniest scratch!) My husband had to contact the regional manager before we could anything done at all.
