I was rear ended by a Progressive Insured driver. Unfortunately, I had Progressive also. Representative told me no accident report needed to be done (later found this contrary to traffic law and did file a report). In addition, did have whiplash injury (X-ray showed straighted spinal column. There response to this accident was to offer $100 to settle. They said that the accident was minimal as there was little damage to the bumper. True, but the force sheered the metal bracket holding my head rest. I told them I was more concerned with what happened to me than to my vehicle. It's obvious that the force of this impact was taken through the frame, and that my head snapped back violantly in response. However, the tack of Progressive has been to minimize what happened to me and even to question the veracity of what happened. Insult to injury. There tactics would make a thug blush. SHAME. SHAME! Do not trust this company; minor positive claim experience does not corrolate with fair settlements when it comes to bodily injury.
On the back of my truck I have written:
Progressive Insurance?
Buyer Beware!
I listen to the bleating on T.V. Perhaps, we can better inform the public by getting the message on the back of our vehicles.
