On Saturday September 10, 2005 about 11:10 AM central time I, Gilton Bolanos, spoke with a claim representative about the claim I made on my 2003 Seaswirl boat. I informed him about the damage that my boat had sustained during Hurricane Katrina. I usually go out on the lake every weekend I can. I had gone out the weekend prior to the hurricane making land fall. I informed him that the boat’s sun shade metal part was damaged and twisted, the boat’s depth sonar was torn and that the CD player was also not working. He practically told me that I was lying about the cd player being damage that how could I know that the cd player was damage if I had not used the boat since the hurricane. I informed him that a prudent person would check everything on his boat every control was turned on to make sure it worked which is what I did after the storm. He then told me he could not do anything until I was able to get the boat out of the New Orleans area. We have been displaced by this hurricane and have been on the road. We are nearly out of cash and are unable to haul a boat around. This representative of your company was insensitive and had poor customer service skills. There is a way to talk to people and handle a claim within the guidelines of your company and with consideration to the claimant as well. I did not get his name but I returned a call that Maureen left and was transferred to this person. I am sure you record all conversations.
