I had previously insured a motorcycle with Progressive, and had a great experience after an accident. I switched my Automobile insurance to Progressive. My wife was hit by a drunk driver. Progressive offered almost ZERO support in advising us on our rights against the claimant. They wanted NOTHING to do with the claim once they established that the other party was at-fault -- it was up to us to deal with the other insurance company. While I carried $30K of uninsured motorist, Progressive offered a LOWER settlement than the at-fault provider! We asked to settle for reasonable damages under our uninsured motorist, and have Progressive sue the at-fault provider, as we are not financially able to support a protracted lawsuit against a poor at-fault provider. Progressive has been a MONUMENTAL disappointment. I am currently switching to a new provider.
