We were rear ended on the freeway. Our truck was hit hard and pushed into the vehicle in front of us. When wwe took the truck to the recommended auto bidy shop we were told that the damage was over 80% and that GMAC wasn't going to pay for the repair. They instead said that they would give us $5,000.00 for the truck. The cheapest price we can find for a T-100 is $8,200.00, but the adjuster at the insurance company was curt, rude, and treated us as though we were scaming GMAC for more money.

We told the adjuster to find us a similar truck for 5k and we'd take it, but she refused and said that we better hurry up before they decrease the offer...what can a consumer do?

The adjuster also sent a statement to the DMV that said we were at fault even though the highway patrol found us 0% at fault. It's as though the adjuster has an agenda to to prevent us from receiving a fair settlement. STEER CLEAR OF GMAC INSURANCE!
