Excellent experience for 3 years
I'm prompted to write a review because i see all the negative reviews for geico and i've had nothing but good experiences. I've been with them for around 3 years. i'm switching companies now only because of a price difference. for some reason geico charges more for 1 car than for 2. so i'm switching companies and selling a car.
My experience with geico has been all i've hoped for out of an insurance company. Customer service has been A++. I have not filed a claim but i did have an accident where i hit another driver also insured by geico. I admitted fault and never heard another word about it. The other driver was apparently paid and i had a slight increase when i renewed my policy.
the only downside: cost. they were cheap when i had 1 car without collision coverage. I bought a newer car but had to keep my old one because it was cheaper to insure both. Thats right, it would actually cost me money to sell my old car. i'm switching companies for a policy of the same price, but i can now sell my old car.
