I bought GEICO insurance thinking I would really gain from it. They seemed pretty decent enough. I had basic insurance. I got into a car accident. A hit and run driver hit my vehicle and totalled it. I called my insurance company(GEICO) and reported it. They patiently took down all the information. THEN THEY SAID I COULD GO AFTER THE OTHER GUY'S INSURANCE COMPANY MYSELF!!!!! Now why do I pay them money if I gotta do all the work. Well I was smart enough to get witnesses for my accident. Otherwise I would have been in real bad shape. I got full compensation by going behind the other guys insurance company. Let me tell you this. GEICO saves you money by following the above mentioned strategy. AS ONE ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION UNIT POLICE OFFICER PUT IT - THEY ARE TOO HAPPY TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND SCREW YOU OVER WHEN YOU REALLY NEED THEIR HELP. That was true in my case. I believe insurance itself is fraud. I got my bike out and ride it everywhere and I save tons of money on car insurance - those good for nothing INSURANCE COMPANIES. Americans have sucked up to the car ideology and that is what feeds these companies. We gotta go back to the old ways. Then one will live long and happy.
