Dodging responsibility a way of life at Geico?
My son was hit a week ago by a Geico customer. Police report clearly says it was the Geico driver's fault. Geico stalls like crazy. Says it can't get in touch with it's own customer. It hasn't accepted the police report or determined fault in the accident. Can't authorize payment or a rental car. Warns that if the car sits at the garage where it was towed for too long, we -- not Geico -- will incur storage fees, supposedly while Geico stalls some more.
And most infuriating of all, Geico rep tells me three times in the same phone call, "You can always file a claim with your insurance company." Like if they irritate me enough, maybe I'll just go away.
I will never have insurance with Geico and will tell everyone I know to avoid them.
