STAY AWAY FROM FARMER'S AT ALL COST. I cancelled my automobile policy with Farmers on November 21, 2007. I called the agent and the auto pay from my checking account was cancelled.

I just received notice from my bank that my account is overdrawn. It is because Farmers/Prematic has just taken a 2 month premium and they refuse to return it.

I faxed them all of the notifications they asked for and the agent advised me the policy was cancelled.

This problem started because my 16 year old had a very minor accident. Farmers agent backed out my policy to July and ran it under another company, for 200% increase in premium. That's when I cancelled it. I also found out that Farmers Help Point, roadside assistance will bite you in the rear if you use it.

I was told I had three claims in three years when I went shopping for a new policy. When the new agent told me the "claims" were for towing, I nearly lost it.

How's that for treatment from an insurance company.

I know many people are out a lot more than I am, but it's just a warning. STAY AWAY FROM FARMER'S AT ALL COST.
