Accident
I recently got into an accident, which was caused by the person running the red light. The person admitted that it was his fault and a citation was issued. I called the Esurance company and few days later the apraiser came out to look at the damage at the body shop as my car had to been towed away. The damage occured mostly on the front driver panel and the front left tie rod was bend. The total damge amount was $2,700 ('05 Honda sedan EX model approx 85,000 miles). The amount was paid by esurance.
Few days later the car was repaired and I went in the morning to pick-up the car at the body shop, I drove about 10 miles and the car stalled. I called the body shop and had it towed and determined there was some problem with the tramission. The appraiser came out and determined that the accident didn't cause the tramission to fail. In order to convince him, I had to tow the car to a tramsmission that the body shop recommended and when the transmission was completely taken apart and the apraiser viwed the transmission and determined the clutch gear box was worn and burned and the accident didn't cause the transmission to fail.
Now I'm stuck with a bill of $2,800 for repairing the transmission. My car was well maintained by Honda dealership and I can't believe I had a car in working condition and now I have to pay to get it fixed. This is the worse insurance company I've ever come accross, please think twice before insuring with this company.
