scammed by esurance
I had to pay 280.00 down payment to get 2 autos insured, Then added a third and additional driver on the next day.the same day I received an email from esurance that because my son had an accident in 2007 the premium had risen to 2744.00 for a six month policy. I then cancelled my policy with esurance. I then was told that I would be charged 10% of my down payment. What they did not tell me was it would be 10% of the total premium amount, Therefor not only would I not get a refund, I also owed them 6.99 more. All of this for being insured with them for only 3 days.In my opinion they are nothing but crooks that will take you for all they can get. They should tell you up front about early cancellation.
I am now insured with Geico and on their policy page is in plain site that you may cancell with them for up to 90 days with no problem,No matter what state you live in. BEWARE OF ESURANCE!!!
