Lower rates shouldn't mean horrible service
I recently switched to Esurance for the lower rates and have regretted my decision after being involved in an accident. I was rear-ended while sitting at a dead stop; it took about 8 hours for an Esurance representative to contact me after I reported my claim. I was in touch with the other party's insurance more than I was with my own. The other party's insurance took a recorded statement and had an adjuster look at my vehicle before I had even heard back from my claim's representative. After a few months of waiting, I was just informed that the other party is not being held responsible for the accident. I was shocked at this news due to the fact that the entire rear of my vehicle was destroyed; I feel as though Esurance was not pro-active in doing their job. I was happy to habe lower rates, but not at the cost of having an insurance company that is unreliable and inefficient.
