They were great until I had to file a claim. I've never had any of the billing issues mentioned here, and the price was great. However, I had a minor one car accident 11 days ago, which I reported promptly. They are just now geting to starting the claims process. They pretty much lost track of the claim for a few days. I have to call them every day for them to take the simplest action (like contact the shop where the car is), and they never follow up. They are finally just now getting an adjuster to look at the car early next week. That's almost two weeks after I reported the claim! And I've had to pay for a rental car out of pocket this whole time.
I don't think they are trying to scam me or be malicious, they are just incompetent. I think Esurance just has a lot of overworked, undertrained and incompetent people. Not a good thing for something as important as insurance. I'm definitely going to pay a little more money for a lot more peace of mind and switch insurers after this.
