Esurance uses highly deceptive practices. I was quoted a price for a policy renewal. The quote included a comparison to my last term's premium. It was about 20% lower so I decided to renew. A short time later, I was charged again. When I investigated, I found that the renewal quote was for only one car and the comparison they used was for both. I feel this is very dishonest on the part of Esurance.
I was also displeased by the fact my premium increased significantly every term dispite my loyalty, no accidents, and improved credit rating.
I changed to another, much less expensive, company and was hit with a $50 cancellation fee from Esurance. They explained that this was standard for my state and even impled that it was state mandated. What I found was that Esurance was charging as much as they are legally allowed in my state (not mandated). And for other states it would have been a much higher charge. Also, I was so close to the end of my policy that it would have been better to finish it at the end of the term. This is a fact of which the extremely rude representitive, "Maria" did not inform me. I was so frustrated, I didn't consider that myself.
I am glad to be finished with Esurance. I am thankful I never had to make a claim with them. Buyer beware!
