Unitrin Direct is Parent Company to Encompass
We entered into Auto Insurance Contract with Encompass. The parent company of Encompass is Unitrin Direct and they are BAD!! Been fighting a claim w/injury caused by another driver who backed out of a parking space into my van that was directly behind it, stopped, waiting for another car to pull out of thier parking space. The other party was ticketed for improper backing.
We have been fighting this since 2004. All aspects of the claim have been dealt with by Unitrin in a despicable manner. We had to get an atty to take the case and trial has been cause of us almost losing our home if not for Lawsuit Lending Company.
We had $250,000 stacked uninusred motorist, my husband who was the driver, had to have surgery, and 3 years and 5 continuances later (caused by their atty not properly handling case), we have yet to come to trial. It is now once again scheduled for another few months. Hopefully the judge will not let them continue in their charade.
We will probably go back to Geico after all this is over. Our current Auto Insurance company has raised our rates once again, and this time with only 1 automobile insured we are paying almost $2000 yearly. If it weren't for the fact that we don't have to pay a big down=payment each year we renew, we would have changed already.
So watch it, make sure that you research your insurance companies!!
