Amica is akin to thieves.
I believe in this state, Massachusetts, Amica is using the laws of merit rating to cheat their customers. The company utilizes the over $500.00 in repairs law, and the at fault clause to allow them the opportunity to overpay a repair cost. to be able to charge their customers an increase on their customer premiums for the next 6 years. A cost that will not end even if you change insurance companies.
I recently made a claim for a cracked windshield. They replaced it with no problem. This is after no claims, and a good driving record for both my husband and I for the entire time we were covered by Amica. The second claim unfortunately came about soon after this claim.
Amica paid a claim with no regard to how it affects us and our finances. No FAULT? We have no rights. We were not allowed to question why the claim amount was made so high. We investigated the costs of repairs, where it usually cost the most, the dearlerships. The costs were far below the overpayment paid to other driver. No questions asked indeed to the person with the good rating written for AMICA. They are Americans supporting insurance CEO\'S!
