We have had American Family Insurance for about 4 years. The agent is a friend of my husband's, so I have tolerated some of the agent's behavior, I find disrespectful. But the clincher has been the continuous rate significant rate increases although we have no claims. Also, with each renewal there is a new list of "exclusions" on our homeowner's policy. I wonder if the game in the insurance industry is to quote low the first year then jack the price up in subsequent years. I have found another company with good ratings and reputation and a $300 per year lower price on the homeowners, so we are switching.
