Legal Extortion
20+ year customer, home and auto. In Aug of 06 my wifes care was involved in a flash flood. There was some minor mechanical damage but most involved the interior. We had to deal with a different claims adjuster just about weekly (8 in all) that never knew what was going on until they looked up the file on their computer. They then relied on "notes in the sytem" to determine what was happening instead of listening to us. The carpet was torn by the first shop, and cleanup was not complete the first time they released the car back to us (after over a month). We had to fight to get the car into another "preferred shop" to get everything originally claimed to be fixed. After several cleanings it was clear that the carpet and passenger seat would never be the same as before the claim. They refused to replace and instead offered a measly $100 "appearance allowance" for the condition of the interior. We are still waiting for the check and have been told by our agent that we will have to call the preferred shop to get it and they won't return my call. This has been going on for almost a year. BEWARE! You are not in good hands, just greedy ones. Will be switching this week.
