My first experience dealing with an estimator
I would not recommend Allied auto insurance. My car was a third car involved in the accident cased by Allied insurance policy holder. I was reared-ended, while waiting on the red light August 30, 2007.
A week after the accident I went to get an estimation of the damage on my car. That was my first experience dealing with any kind of estimator. He was not in a hurry to meet with me. The estimator took a picture of the damage, and explained everything to me clearly and professionally what would be the next step for me to do. However I was confused: “why my car will get a re-manufactured bumper from an old car, if my car is fairly new (2006)?” I had to get back with the estimator and his supervisor to make sure that this is what it is. Both of them were rather rude. I felt helpless.
Another thing about Allied insurance customer service: the estimation said 9 hours of labor; however I got a rental car for one day only. I had to argue over this at the Enterprise rent-a-car that it was not my fault the car had to be in shop and I am not the one to pay for the rental car.
