I have not had to file a claim with Allied, and thank goodness, judging by other responses on this website. But I can say that Allied's behavior does not get any better when you decide to cancel your policy. It has been two months since I canceled my auto/business policy, and I have yet to receive a simple $200 refund check for overpaid premium. After several contacts with my agent and directly with Allied, I have essentially received nothing but the word _no_. We policyholders get charged extra fees if we pay our premiums late, but what recourse do we have if Allied compensates us just if and when they feel like it?
