AIG has the worst customer service to their own clients. I recently was in an accident and after I claimed it with AIG, they were impossible to contact for over a week. Then I found out from the other party that my insurance was invalid. AIG claimed that my insurance policy was cancelled a day before my accident date. I would not have even found out about this abrupt cancellation unless I had gotten into the accident. They did not send me any notices of this termination nor did they call. I believe that they deliberately made some lame excuse to cancel my policy so that they would not have to cover my accident. Yet the ironic thing is that they still withdrew my monthly payments and even sent me another bill after my policy was so called "cancelled." I have never seen an insurance company that does not take actions to protect their own paying clients. Do not ever use AIG auto insurance!! Contacting the adjuster is impossible and the customer service representatives are vague and misleading. Trust in their ability to protect and cover you in an auto accident is a huge negative!
