AAA has been overcharging us by about $2000 per year for four years!
When we added a new car to our policy in September, the agent said to me that he noticed our premium was rather high. $3000 for two cars, 7 and 10 years old, and two adults with good driving records. He said that he would check on it, but after many phone calls to him, I started looking for new insurance in December. When I told him that I was disappointed in him as our agent, because he had simply not followed up, his rude response was, "Well, if you are looking at other insurance, is there any point in my following up now?" I told him, "Yes, we have been loyal customers for seven years, we haven't switched yet, and don't really want to switch." He said that I could call the company myself; I told him that as my agent, he's supposed to be doing that for me! I am now looking at much better coverage from Hartford for $700 per year, rather than $3000.
