Morally Reprehensible

I was hit by someone with AAA insurance. The claims department acted friendly, but then pulled this on me:
1) They tried to FORCE me to take market value MINUS salvage value for my car, which was totaled.
The claims representative, Tamara Carter, told me I had to do this. Meanwhile, she had told me as a kind of threat that I had to hurry up and bring the rental car back BEFORE she even gave me a settlement. When I was told my car was totaled, she indicated I would get market value. I thus had to purchase a new car, and felt threatened that I had to hurry as they would not pay for a rental for more than a week. When I bought a car, THEN THAT's when Tamara told me I was not getting market value. After going through MY insurance, Tamara changed her tune, but had the indignity to tell me it was only a "misunderstanding." THEN, it has since taken an additional WEEK - and I still do not have a settlement amount.
All in all, this company is HORRIBLE, and morally repugnant. Make sure you go through your insurance first - and I'd say, don't get AAA insurance.
